Job Description

The EFCA national office is seeking a full-time Events Coordinator to provide excellent administrative support and customer care for the Challenge Conference and other EFCA events while supporting the Events Director.

Start Date: 10/4/2021
Hours Per Week: 40

• Provide general event administration, including planning, creation of events materials, and oversight
of registration
• Assist the Director in the creation and management of event budgets, including processing
registrations, invoices and contracts
• Support various events teams with management of logistical details (travel, housing, meals, etc.)
• Lead assigned Challenge event staff
• Recruit and manage event interns and short-term event employees
• Provide clear and timely communication with event vendors, Communications team, etc.
• Track the Challenge communications editorial calendar, write and design promotion newsletters,
and update event websites
• Provide friendly and effective customer service to leaders and pastors

Skills and Education Requirements

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of the EFCA
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Three years of administrative assistant experience preferred
• Excellent editing, proofing, and formatting skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word
• Keyboarding ability of 50wpm with no errors
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks by given deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to make quick, effective decisions, especially in event settings
• Takes initiative in solving problems and improving efficiency and effectiveness
• Ability to travel during events (approximately 15-20 nights per year)
