About this Church
In April of 2006, a small group of families organized a Evangelical Free Church plant for the Piedmont, Summerset, and Black Hawk area. With God's hand leading each step of the way, the name Hills View Evangelical Free Church was chosen, the five Core Values were agreed to as the guiding principles for the church:
Centrality of God's Word. Making Disciples. Passionate Prayer. Freedom in Christ. Nurturing Relationships.
And our Mission & Vision Statement was defined: Hills View is to be, "One in Christ, Committed to Praying, Teaching and Reaching!"
We continue to be a growing church in the Black Hills, with two services at 8:15 and 10 a.m. on Sundays, averaging about 400 attendees/week. We also have active Men's (Higher Ground) and Women's (WOVEN) Ministries, LIVE Youth (for middle and high school age kids), Children's Ministry (Kids Bible Time on Sundays and SHINE on Wednesday nights), along with adult Life Groups, Bible studies and various classes throughout the week. In all that we do in Christ's name, we remain centered on our Core Values which have not changed since 2006, keeping our Mission & Vision Statement as our focus, for His glory!
