Job Description

OBJECTIVE

The Kids Ministries Assistant will support the planning and implementation of ministries to kids from birth through 5th grade by providing hands-on involvement, administration, initiative and coordination.

SCOPE

• Full-Time // Non-Exempt (32-40 hours per week)
• Ministry Staff // Next Gen Ministries // Reports to Next Gen Ministries Pastor

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a champion of NHC’s vision, leadership and ministries
• Work collaboratively with other NHC ministry leaders to cultivate partnership and effectiveness
• Participate and invest in NHC staff community
• Embrace any additional opportunities as assigned to contribute to NHC’s ministry impact
• Model a Christ-like attitude through committed work ethic, care for kids and support to families
• Champion and support NHC’s core kids programming on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights
• Coordinate resources that provide hospitality and connections for new families
• Come alongside team leaders to help recruit, train and shepherd volunteers
• Oversee registration, attendance and database of families
• Provide general administrative support to the Kids Ministries team
• Assist in facilitating ministry logistics including calendar, website, facilities and promotions
• Give joint oversight to Kids Ministries policies, protocols and processes
• Assist in creating and administrating Kids Ministries budget to maximize ministry impact
• Assist in providing resources and support to families through intentional relationships and training opportunities
• Assist in planning and resourcing special events and additional kids programming
