OVERVIEW
Job Summary:
The Lead Pastor is to be the visible spiritual leader of the congregation helping it to accomplish God’s direction and purposes by way of preaching, teaching, shepherding, developing leaders and personal example.

DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
- Live a godly and Spirit-filled life in accordance with 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Shall have a Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary.
- Shall be committed to the reformed tradition.
- Shall be in agreement with the EFCA doctrinal statement.
- Shall be credentialed by the EFCA or working toward credentialing.
- Some ministry experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Biblical preaching and teaching.
a. Preach the Word primarily in an expository manner that is faithful to Scripture, clear to the congregation and with a concern for practical application.
b. Spend an appropriate amount of time each week in preparing the sermon.
c. Be available to periodically teach adult Sunday School classes. - Leadership
a. Work well with others, demonstrating kindness, patience and encouragement.
b. Work collaboratively with elders and deacons, as well as church staff. - Discipleship and evangelism
a. Affirm Trinity’s long-time commitment to small groups.
b. Practice personal evangelism. - Shepherding
a. Promote a commitment to prayer.
b. Nurture and tend to the body.
c. Visit the sick and needy.
d. Be available for basic pastoral counseling.
e. Be available for weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc. - Administration
a. Foster loving relationships with church staff.
b. Attend elder and congregational meetings.
c. Be involved in the day-to-day functioning of the church. - Community/Denominational Involvement
a. Participate in EFCA district and national conferences.
b. Be involved in the local ministerial community.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary tied to the annualized scale of public school teachers.
- Beginning salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

We are a congregation of around 85 attenders right now located in Minot, ND. We exist to glorify God by making and multiplying Spirit led disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to teaching the Word of God and the doctrines that are taught in the Word to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11-13). We are a reformed, complementarian, elder-led congregation committed to small groups and mentoring relationships.
