The Church Planting Missionary will start by joining the staff at Cornerstone Church. We expect the first year to involve a significant investment in Anamosa, IA, while being involved in the life and ministry of Cornerstone in Marion as well. In the second year, we expect the church planter to be primarily engaged in Anamosa with ongoing care and coaching from Cornerstone Church and EFCA Central.
We are committed to a minimum 2-year financial commitment to this church plant (subsequent years will be decided based on need).
At present, Cornerstone plans to invest $30K per year into the church plant/planter. In addition, we expect the planter will want to raise $15-30K. As soon as the planter becomes approved through the EFCA Church Planting Assessment process, we can pursue another $30K in district and national funding.
