Position Overview:

Fellowship Bible Church is seeking a genuine and transformative individual who prayerfully seeks God’s will to serve as the Lead Pastor of our congregation. The Lead Pastor will work with the elders to provide spiritual leadership, vision and guidance to the church community, fostering growth, discipleship and a deepening relationship with God. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to biblical teaching, a shepherd's heart for the congregation and a vision for reaching the surrounding community with the message of God's grace and love.


  1. Preaching:
    • Preach and teach the Bible accurately and in accordance with scripture while pointing the congregation to God.
  2. Spiritual Leadership:
    • Work with elders to provide visionary and spiritual leadership to the congregation, guiding members in their walk with Christ.
    • Preach engaging, relevant and biblically sound sermons that inspire and challenge the church to grow in their relationship with God.
  3. Discipleship and Pastoral Care:
    • Shepherd and care for the congregation, providing pastoral guidance, support and counseling as needed.
    • Work to train up disciples of Jesus that know, can defend and can teach others how-to live in truth.
  4. Vision:
    • Collaborate with church leadership to develop and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the church's future.
    • Help lead the congregation in aligning their efforts and resources with the established vision and mission.
  5. Community Outreach:
    • Engage with the local community to understand its needs and develop strategies to share the gospel effectively.
    • Help lead the church in various outreach initiatives, serving as a bridge between the church and the community.
  6. Team Building and Development:
    • Recruit, mentor and empower church staff, volunteers and leaders for effective ministry.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and growth within the church community.
  7. Worship and Teaching:
    • Help with and provide biblical teaching, worship and prayer in a way that resonates with diverse audiences.
  8. Communication:
    • Help effectively communicate with the congregation through various channels, keeping them informed about church activities, events and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A deep and evident personal relationship with Jesus Christ, characterized by a life of prayer and biblical integrity.
• Be in agreement with the Evangelical Free Church of America's doctrinal beliefs and core values.
• Be in agreement with the Fellowship Bible Church’s “Our Church” document.
• Ordained or eligible for ordination within the EFCA denomination.
• Proven experience in pastoral leadership, with a track record of spiritual growth, discipleship and community engagement.
• Strong preaching and teaching skills, able to communicate complex biblical truths in an accessible and relatable manner.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and ages.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, equipping them for effective ministry.
• A heart for outreach and a desire to impact not only the local community for Christ but other areas around the world as well.
