Next Gen Director

Position Summary

The Next Gen Director will serve as primary pastor to the youth, grades 6-12, and young adults, ages 18-29, of River of Life Church; to plan and participate in services, activities and events that reflect the core values and vision of River of Life Church. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pastoral leadership and oversight of both youth and young adult ministries.
• Create and maintain an exciting, engaging environment for teenagers and young adults to encounter God through fun, friends and discipleship.
• Provide leadership and vision for the volunteer leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, organize and plan weekly programming for youth ministries as well as special events throughout the year.
• Recruit, develop and train youth and young adult volunteers as needed to meet the needs of the next generation at River of Life Church.
• Provide discipleship to 6th-12th grade and young adults to encourage them to a deeper level of spiritual formation and engagement.
• Assist in the management of the budget and financial needs regarding the youth and young adult ministries of River of Life Church.
• Provide guidance and spiritual direction to young people on an individual basis.
• Engage parents in the spiritual formation of the youth.
