Ministry Philosophy

Worship Ministry

• Worship leadership should draw people into active engagement rather than passive observation, ensuring accessibility (e.g., appropriate key and range) and theological depth.

Youth Ministry
• The vision for youth ministry is to disciple students into spiritual maturity by creating intentional programs, fostering Christ-centered relationships, and offering opportunities for growth through teaching, service, and leadership.
• A key focus of this ministry is building and equipping a team of adult leaders who can disciple students effectively. The Youth Pastor’s role includes not only connecting with students but also training and supporting these leaders, multiplying the ministry’s reach and impact.
• The ministry culture will emphasize fun, care, acceptance, prayer, and creativity, always pointing students to the Gospel and encouraging life transformation in Christ.

About this Church

Get to Know Edgewood Community

Located in small town Wisconsin, the story of Edgewood Community Church is unique. It was planted in Waupun, a community of about 12,000 people, but over time they have organically grown to become a church with four campuses and about 1,200 people. This Elder-led body embraces the call to reach people and to develop them in the faith. To this end, the values of Edgewood, “Gospel, Community, Mission,” shapes and propels the ministry. The staff who help lead the ministry charge are a unified and healthy group of Christ-followers and demonstrate their love of Jesus and the church. The church is theologically conservative, and leans Reformed in theology but practices a graciousness toward people from various backgrounds. The energy is contagious, the commitment is high, and Edgewood is motivated to reach new heights for the gospel’s sake.

Affiliated with the EFCA, Edgewood Community Church is vibrant and family oriented. The church averages 1,200 attenders over four campuses which are distributed over a large area of north central Wisconsin from Waupun to Fond du Lac to Sheboygan and to Beaver Dam. The worship is contemporary and tailored to meet the needs of each location which meet at a variety of times on Saturdays and Sundays. The church enjoys expositional preaching from its long-tenured and personable pastor. They are a financially solid and healthy church.
