Director of Finance & Human Resources

OBJECTIVE:

To advance the mission and vision of Valley Church through stewarding our financial resources.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or similar field
• Experience: 3+ years of financial experience with an emphasis on certifications, such as a CPA or equivalent experience to demonstrate knowledge base

We are seeking a Director of Finance & Human Resources to steward Valley Church’s financial resources and oversee HR operations in alignment with our mission.

This role involves managing accounting responsibilities, preparing financial reports, creating budgets and ensuring regulatory compliance, while leading and supporting the finance team. The director will also oversee employee recruitment, retention and engagement, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of financial expertise, leadership skills and the ability to support staff and church operations effectively.

COMPENSATION/STATUS:

Part-time or Full-time options are available. Full time is 45- 50 hours per week,
salaried (commensurate with experience) Exempt status. Benefits include group health insurance, paid vacations, etc.
