Associate Pastor
Job Description
• Oversee and develop the church’s small group ministry, ensuring a culture of discipleship and community care.
• Lead and support men’s and women’s adult ministries, equipping leaders and fostering discipleship and spiritual growth.
• Provide pastoral oversight for college/young adults, singles and young families, facilitating opportunities for connection and growth.
• Building a system of biblical literacy and spiritual maturity and fostering discipleship and spiritual growth.
• Build, develop and empower leadership teams to effectively advance the church’s mission.
• Preach regularly as needed and contribute to the overall teaching ministry of the church.
• Actively engage in the community of Ambassador Church, modeling servant leadership and commitment to the body of Christ.
• Be a contributing member of the executive pastoral team to support the overall health and mission of the church.
• Lead, manage and oversee all-church events and ministries.
About this Church
Ambassador Church started in 2003 as a fellowship group from First Free Church (formally known as First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton). We have always desired to be a multiethnic church for all people, to keep multiplying churches and to continually focus on how to live according to God’s mission for His church and people.
The journey took us to several locations until we finally found a permanent church home in 2017 on South and Sunkist in Anaheim, California. Our mission is to make the name of Jesus known in the community surrounding the church, and where our people live, work, play and study.
We belong to both the Evangelical Free Church of America and the North American Baptist denominations.
