About this Church

Christ Community Church began life in the fall of 1984, when Larry
Kirk started a Bible study in the area. Before that, Larry pursued
theological and pastoral training at Covenant Theological Seminary,
serving as a pastor for six years in Kansas and Missouri. However, he
felt called to plant a church, and in 1984 the Evangelical Free Church of
America introduced him to a small group who were meeting in Daytona
Beach. Larry was lead pastor at CCC for forty years and is now our
pastor emeritus.

In January 2024, Barry Cooper was called by the church to become its
next lead pastor. Having been educated at Oxford University and
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago, Barry completed an
internship at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C., and was
part of the core team who helped to plant Trinity West Church in
London, England.

Everything we do––preaching, children's ministry, small groups,
missions, and everything in-between––is about making disciples who
glorify God by following Christ wherever they go and in every aspect of
their lives.

From that vision come our four core values: biblical integrity, spiritual
vitality, community and mission.
