TABERNACLE MISSION STATEMENT

We exist to love God, love people and make disciples.

GOALS

• Create a safe and engaging environment that introduces children and students to Jesus, teaches children and students scripture, encourages relationships and presents the gospel in an age appropriate manner.
• Disciple adults in a manner that supports the mission and vision of TABkids, enabling the leaders to become disciplemakers of children and students.

PRE-REQUISITE

• Complete the Tabernacle volunteer on-boarding process.
• Complete a background check.
• Complete all required training.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THIS ROLE

Pray, spend time in God's word during the week, give regularly and attend a weekly worship service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and shepherd the TABkids coordinators.
• Communicate goals, events and curriculum plans to TABkids coordinators at the Manistee campus to support the mission and vision.
• Complete coordinator/volunteer training as needed. This training will include curriculum, policy, procedures, discipline, safety and sanitation protocols and other areas related to TABkids activities.
• Invest in discipleship through relationships with TABKids coordinators, volunteers, parents and children.
• Help create a strategic plan to grow volunteer teams and involve TABKids coordinators in these plans.
• Discipling people into leadership roles.
• Work in coordination with the Buckley TABkids Director to align and share programming, events, curriculum, budget and policy (As consistent with campus goals).
• Create a working system to maintain TABKids areas, supplies and materials in an organized manner.
• Identify and obtain resources that are needed for the TABkids teams to carry out responsibilities and stay safe (radios, check-in, printer, first aid supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.)
• Ensure consistent adherence to all Tabernacle guardrails, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for Manistee TABkids volunteer schedule through key scheduling volunteers.

MEETING REQUIREMENTS

• Meet with Manistee campus pastor on a regular basis.
• Meet with TABKids coordinators on a regular basis.
• Meet with other campus TABkids Directors on a regular basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is responsible for directing The Tabernacle TABKids coordinators at the Manistee campus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a part-time, paid position. It may include weekend/after-hours work. Additional hours for meetings, training and connecting with team members will be required.
