Job Description

Supervisor: Lead Pastor
Reports to: Elder Board
Time Investment: Full-Time
Compensation: Salaried
Commitment: Ongoing (not temporary)

Purpose Statement: Create and establish systems, training and oversight in student and worship ministries to further the church’s mission, visions and values. Partner with lead pastor and elders in the shepherding of the church.

Responsibilities Also Include:

  • Comply with the requests and instructions of the lead pastor and the elder board
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in elder meetings as a voting member of the elder board
  • Junior high, senior high and young adult ministries
  • Worship ministry
  • Meet with, mentor and coach people in their ministry areas or church
  • Preach as needed, at least quarterly, when able
  • Be involved in the ongoing functions and events of the church
  • Rough breakdown of weekly time:
    • 60% Student and young adult ministries
    • 40% Pastoral responsibilities and worship

Prerequisites:

• Meets the requirement of an elder as found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Has the heart to be a part of, shepherd and care for the congregation
• Must agree with the church's doctrine, mission, vision and values and agree and subscribe to the Statement of Faith and constitution without mental reservation
• Has ministry training, preferably at least a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in biblical or theological studies
• Willing to be licensed in the Evangelical Free Church of America within the first three years of ministry
• Willing to be coached and seek further training as needed

Benefits:

• Salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 depending on qualifications and experience; no medical benefits provided, but may be negotiated into compensation package if necessary
• Professional expenses when employment starts; retirement benefits after the first year
