Job Description

Job Overview

We are looking for someone to lead our Chester Park Campus. The previous campus pastor has been on staff for six years and helped us established the Chester Park Campus in 2020, three weeks before Covid hit. It had been meeting on Sunday nights as an additional service for about a year and a half before we hired Dean to move it to Sunday morning and establish it as it’s own campus. This role is an exciting opportunity to lead a campus right next to the University of Minnesota Duluth. We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator that wants to preach, lead and develop other leaders, but who wants to do so with the resources, coaching and structure of an existing missional church. Chester Park currently averages about 130-140 people each week. It is a good mix of college students and families and has a lot of opportunity for growth due to its strategic location. Duluth is a great city for those who like the outdoors and enjoy elements of both city and small town life.

Job Duties

• Partner with the lead pastor to strategically lead the Rock Hill Chester Park campus by implementing Rock Hill’s vision and multiply our missional effectiveness.
• Be the primary communicator/preacher on Sundays at the Rock Hill Chester Park.
• Champion the vision and direction of Rock Hill by pastoring people, supporting volunteers and one day overseeing future staff at Rock Hill Chester Park.
• Ensure that our connection and discipleship processes are effectively implemented at Rock Hill Chester Park. This includes connecting people to city groups, serving opportunities, training opportunities and other ministry.
• Provide and coordinate pastoral care to the congregation of Rock Hill Chester Park. This includes general pastoral duties such as: preaching, teaching, communion, weddings, funerals, care, baptisms, pre-marriage counseling, etc.
• Ensure the implementation of Rock Hill’s missional and sending strategies for Chester Park.
• Lead one area of RH central ministry as your contribution to the whole.

You will be expected to be an active participant with our local and global networks. You will be invited to participate in ongoing leadership development by training residents and interns.

What is the Salary?

The salary range is 60k - 70k a year depending on experience, gifting and qualifications.
