Pastor of Worship

Position Summary:

CCC is seeking a Pastor of Worship who is called by God to shepherd our congregation in passionate, theologically rich worship. This role will report directly to the lead pastor and work alongside elders and staff to cultivate a worship culture that exalts Christ, engages the heart, and equips the church for mission.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Worship Leadership

• Plan and lead God-centered worship services emphasizing congregational singing and in alignment with the sermon and liturgical season.
• Select songs and service elements that blend historic and modern expressions of worship (e.g., hymns, Sovereign Grace, CityAlight, Getty Music, Matt Boswell).
• Shepherd the congregation in authentic worship, exhorting God’s people toward truth and reverence (John 4:23–24).
• Lead with the CCC Daytona worship ministry vision guidelines in mind.

2. Team Development

• Lead, train, recruit and disciple volunteer musicians and vocalists.
• Foster spiritual growth and musical excellence within the worship team.
• Lead, train, recruit and disciple audio/visual team.

3. Service Planning & Collaboration

• Partner with the lead pastor and production team to plan and design worship services that are seamless, meaningful and technologically supported.
• Develop and manage the worship ministry budget, resources and equipment.
• Develop and lead special services (Christmas, Easter, offsite Race Day Service & Picnic Daytona 500) and other special services of prayer and worship.

4. Pastoral Role

• Occasional preaching and teaching as gifted and assigned.
• Participate in staff meetings and overall church life.
• Model discipleship through small group involvement and personal mentorship.

What We’re Looking For:

Abilities & Experience
• Proficiency leading worship on guitar or piano with strong vocal ability.
• Demonstrated skill in building, arranging for and leading musicians and vocalists.
• Competence in service planning, audio/visual production and service software (Planning Center preferred).
• Theological depth in song selection and liturgy design.
• Ability to teach and exhort from Scripture within the flow of worship.

• Wholehearted alignment with the CCC’s theological beliefs and our mission and values.
• A heart for shepherding people—not just leading music.
• Teachable, collaborative spirit with a commitment to team-based ministry.

Preferred Qualifications
• Formal training in worship, theology or ministry.
• Experience in a multiservice or growing church context.
• Willingness to engage relationally in the Daytona Beach community.
