Director of Children's Ministry
Job Description
Hershey Free is seeking a Children’s Ministry Director who is a collaborative team builder able to identify and equip leaders, strengthen and enhance the systems that are currently serving children successfully, and cultivate a culture of spiritual formation and discipleship centered on Jesus. This individual should be a passionate advocate for children’s ministry and serve as a key resource to the church.
The overarching purpose of the director for children’s ministries is to develop and promote a culture of learning, spiritual formation, outreach and security among the families and children of Hershey Free Church. The director will equip and oversee a leadership team of paid and volunteer staff. As the primary visionary for Children’s Ministries the Director will be well-informed of changes within the children’s ministries field continually looking for best practices for growth and development. Ministry will be done in collaboration with the director for spiritual formation and family ministries and pastor for student ministries. The director will serve on the backbone team.

Hershey Free Church is located in the beautiful town of Hershey, Pennsylvania, approximately 10 miles from the state capital of Harrisburg. We are a congregation that is focused on our mission of equipping Christ-followers to "Live with Jesus, Love like Jesus and Lead Others to do the Same."
Approximately 50 years old, the church has a rich heritage of teaching the Word, ministering to children and families, encouraging spiritual formation and discipleship and challenging people to reach their communities and the world. We are in a season of growth as new people come to Hershey Free and experience care and connection in our ministries.
