Job Description

The Ministry Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the lead pastor and church leadership while overseeing the daily functions of the front church office. This role includes managing both the lead pastor’s calendar and the overall church calendar, answering phones, greeting guests, managing building access, coordinating room scheduling for spaces such as the fellowship hall, auditorium and gymnasium. The ministry assistant ensures smooth operations for events including weddings, funerals, meetings, voting polls, pickleball, basketball and other ministry or community activities. Serving as a central point of communication for staff and volunteers, this role helps maintain an organized, welcoming and efficient environment that supports the mission and ministries of the church.

Qualified candidates must possess strong administrative and communication skills, along with proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Applicants should be comfortable learning new software and digital tools as needed, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced ministry environment.

This is a part-time, nonexempt position compensated on an hourly basis. Final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
