Senior Pastor

The ideal pastor is a humble, relational and emotionally intelligent leader who understands that trust is built over time within a deeply rooted and established community. He is a thoughtful builder, one who will honor the church’s rich legacy while casting a compelling and hopeful vision for the future. This pastor will communicate with clarity, warmth and conviction, demonstrating visionary leadership and the ability to unify the body around a shared gospel-centered mission. Organizationally, the candidate will be a clear, structured leader who values strong communication, aligns ministries with mission and fosters healthy, collaborative team dynamics. As a preacher, he will be a gifted expositor, combining theological depth with engaging, accessible communication that connects with both long-time members and newer attendees. Embodying a pastoral heart, he will be approachable, authentic and deeply invested in people, which will allow him to equip the congregation to move from comfort to calling and to actively live out their faith in the local community and beyond.

Clear alignment with HFC's values and beliefs; theologically aligned with the EFCA; theological master’s degree preferred; ten years senior/lead pastor experience in a growing ministry; a genuine and loving relationship with Jesus; exceptional Bible-based preaching, teaching and communication skills; a life displaying love for God and the presence of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26); elder qualified (Titus 1:5-9, 1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4); empowering, developmental and collaborating leader who elevates the team; high emotional and organizational IQ.
