Worship Director
Job Description
Position Summary:
Faith Manhattan Church is seeking a full-time worship director to step into a meaningful and exciting season in the life of our church. We are a growing, multigenerational community with increasing momentum among college-age young adults and NextGen ministries. Currently, our Sunday services are full, and we are looking for new ways to grow and disciple more people.
This role provides primary leadership for:
- Planning and directing worship for Sunday gatherings and special services
- Building and developing healthy volunteer teams
- Plays a vital role in shaping a worship culture that is Christ-centered, prayerful and engages the congregation in a heart of worship
Core Purpose of the Role:
This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who is energized by both the spiritual and practical work of worship ministry and wants to help a church grow in depth, not just scale. As you will see, this role requires strong functional leadership in worship planning, team development and Sunday execution, while also contributing to the spiritual formation and spiritual leadership of the church.
We are posting this position as worship director to reflect the core functional needs of the role. Candidates with pastoral training, ministry education, licensure or ordination are encouraged to apply, though these are not required. We are looking for a leader who can provide strong worship leadership now and who has the character and capacity to grow in spiritual influence over time.
