Children's Ministry Director

This full-time children ministry director role will focus on the importance of relationship building and disciplemaking: with families, children, new parents, grandparents, leaders and potential leaders. This member of our staff team should have the ability to read the room and brighten up to welcome people into ministry and family here at Northlife. Our programs are the vehicle that allow us a window into a family’s personal life and faith journey to help families take their next step of faith. With that understanding, specific responsibilities include the following:

• Strategically oversee and develop children ministry weekly programs (e.g. Wednesday night and weekends, Nursery, Twos, Pre-K 3-4, Children’s Church, Northlife-Kids, etc.).
• Supervise and support community outreach efforts (e.g. MOPS, Preschool, etc.)
• Prepare for seasonal outreach and ministry events with the help of the Northlife Director of Events (e.g. VBS, Fall Festival, Operation Christmas Child box packing event, etc.).
• Recruit, train and shepherd coordinators, leaders and LITs (Leaders-in-training) to lead and serve in various children’s ministries.
• Provide theological review and input on all aspects of children’s ministry from programs to teaching content to our overall approach of the biblical education of our children.
• Develop and oversee children ministry team by providing central point of contact and encouragement for leaders and LITs.
• Meet weekly with the senior pastor and youth pastor.
• Develop annual budget proposal and manage expenses within approved budget.
• Encourage parents of children through regular communication as needed.
• Partner with pastors to care for and minister to families.
• Supervise and support the Rhinelander children’s ministry director and team of leaders at the Rhinelander campus.
