About this Church
Liberty Evangelical Free Church is a church that is averaging 400+ people on a Sunday morning. Our worship style would be considered primarily contemporary. Sermons are Word-centered and guided by the text. We have witnessed continued growth over the past few years. Over the past decade Liberty E-Free Church has become a multi-generational church. We have an increasing number of attendees moving into the “senior saints” stage of life. However, we also have a growing number of children, youth and young adults attending as well. In 2025, we had 20+ babies born! During the past school year our mid-week children’s ministries witnessed 140 in attendance (age preschool through middle school). This included a number of children who do not attend Liberty on Sundays. We have been averaging 35-50 high school students in youth group on Sunday evenings. As you can tell, our church has a growing nucleus of young families. Approximately 60-percent of our adults participate in a Life Group (or some other form of small group). Dane Schaudt, the senior pastor, has been at Liberty for 20 years. Rob Sanders, the student ministries pastor, has been at Liberty for 12 years. Our church facility was completed in 2005 containing offices, CE wing, nursery, gym, youth room, kitchen and lobby on 12 acres. The multi-functional auditorium was completed in 2017. We are presently debt-free, paying off the mortgage early.
The town of Pella has a population of approx. 10,000 people. It has a solid economic base due to the corporate headquarters of Pella Windows and Vermeer Manufacturing. The school systems are well known for their academics, athletics and fine arts. Lake Red Rock is just south of Pella and features several campgrounds, parks and a 15+ mile paved bike trail.
