Job Description

The EFCA National Office is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Pastoral Care Ministries to support the Director of Pastoral Theology and Care (DPTC) through ministry coordination, project management and administrative leadership. This role supports pastors, chaplains and internal teams by strengthening systems, communication and ministry effectiveness.

Hours: 40/week

Duties

  • Coordinate and support Pastoral Care Ministries by assisting the Director of Pastoral Theology and Care (DPTC) with project execution, communication and administrative needs.
  • Manage the pastor placement software and database (Pastor Search) and the EFCA jobs board, including postings and system administration.
  • Provide training, guidance and customer support to candidates, churches and district staff using EFCA placement services.
  • Administer chaplain endorsement processes, including tracking, recordkeeping and candidate guidance.
  • Assist in the creation, editing and maintenance of ministry resources through research, writing and formatting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for pastoral care and chaplain inquiries, providing timely communication and customer support to pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains and stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical support for ministry gatherings and events, including planning, coordination and execution, to ensure effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of ministry initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage ministry databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with EFCA standards.
  • Support budget preparation and tracking for DPTC.

Requirements

  • At least three years of related professional experience demonstrating organizational and project management skills.
  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary education; additional education preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve problems and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience working with database systems, web platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Strong teamwork skills with emotional and relational maturity.
