Outreach Director

The Outreach & Community Recovery Director leads Bethany Church’s frontline efforts to support, serve and uplift the local Altadena community. A primary focus of this role is directing disaster relief, resource coordination and ongoing outreach for families impacted by the Eaton Fire, while actively engaging local youth and neighborhood families through impactful community initiatives.

• Disaster Relief & Eaton Fire Response: Partner directly with Bethany Rising to organize, coordinate and distribute essential resources, support services and community events for Altadena families affected by the Eaton Fire.
• Altadena Community Engagement: Design, plan and execute high-impact outreach initiatives tailored to the immediate needs of the local neighborhood and surrounding community.
• Volunteer Mobilization: Recruit, train and empower a strong team of community volunteers to lead fire relief efforts, neighborhood outreach and community events.
• Youth & Family Outreach: Oversee the Bethany Church community youth basketball league and collaborate with the youth director to create engaging outreach events for local young families.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and strategic direction for all community-facing programs, ensuring events are well-staffed, organized and impactful.
• Church Alignment & Collaboration: Report to the lead pastor and elders, attending weekly staff meetings to align community outreach efforts with the broader mission of Bethany Church.
