Director of Children's Ministries

The Director of Children’s Ministries will work alongside with and report to the nextgen pastor to provide leadership, vision and oversight for FCC’s Children’s Ministries. This person will help create an environment where children can "Connect with Christ, Connect in Community and Connect to Culture," while partnering with parents and volunteers in the discipleship of the next generation.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Providing leadership and oversight for Sunday morning children’s ministry
• Recruiting, training, encouraging and developing children’s ministry volunteers
• Partnering with the nextgen pastor to develop ministry vision, discipleship strategies and goals
• Supporting and supervising nursery, preschool and elementary ministry teams
• Overseeing special events such as Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat and elements of church-wide events
• Maintaining a welcoming, safe and excellent ministry environment for children and families
• Communicating effectively with families, volunteers and the broader church
• Managing curriculum (we use The Gospel Project), resources, ministry calendars and the children’s ministry budget

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, loves children and families, and desires to see the next generation follow Jesus. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, organized leader, team builder and encouraging presence who can work collaboratively with both staff and volunteers.

Previous experience serving in children’s ministry and leading volunteers is preferred. Candidates should be committed to the mission and ministry of Fellowship Community Church and demonstrate a Christ-like character in their relationships and leadership.
