OBJECTIVE
The Latino Ministries Worship Leader will collaboratively create and facilitate Christ-centered Spanish worship experiences through innovative musical expressions and by cultivating and resourcing the worship team.
SCOPE
• Part-Time // Non-Exempt // Hourly (approximately 20 hours per week)
• Ministry Staff // Worship Ministries & Latino Ministries // Reports to latino ministries pastor and worship lead
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be a champion of NHC’s vision, leadership and ministries
• Work collaboratively with other NHC ministry leaders to cultivate partnership and effectiveness
• Participate and invest in NHC staff community
• Embrace any additional opportunities as assigned to contribute to NHC’s ministry impact
Latino Ministries
• Prayerfully plan worship portion of all Spanish gatherings (on-campus and online), including serving as worship
Leader on Sundays, aiming to engage seekers and stir believers to experience Christ’s presence and to live for
God’s glory
• Partner with other worship and NHC staff to plan and execute bilingual (English and Spanish) worship services
4-6 times per year.
• Oversee the administration of Latino worship gathering through Planning Center:
- Populate weekly service order information
- Coordinate scheduling, communication and preparation of musicians
- Maintain and help expand song database
• Coordinate with sound and media staff for weekly tech needs
• Manage song lyric slides in ProPresenter and build song sets for each service
• Recruit, develop and shepherd team of musicians and tech support
• Collaborate with Latino Ministries staff and core team to provide strategic leadership to Latino Ministries
through team meetings held weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday
• Be a student of church, technology and culture in order to envision ways to propel NHC’s worship forward

• Growing relationship with Jesus and alignment with NHC’s Statement of Faith
• Committed to NHC as a local church and eligible for church membership
• Passionate worshipper; lover of Christ and His Church having a heart for unity and vision of how worship can further NHC to be a “Christ-centered community for all peoples.”
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• Musically gifted; innovative and creative
• Strong initiative and resourcefulness
• Balance of excellence and humility
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week

About this Church
New Hope is a multicultural, multigenerational church committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, community and service. The church offers ministries for people of all ages, including children, students, adults, community groups and care ministries.
New Hope also has a significant Latino ministry, Iglesia Nueva Esperanza, which provides Spanish-language worship, teaching and community for Spanish-speaking individuals and families. The church seeks to serve people from different cultural backgrounds while keeping Christ at the center of its worship and mission.
