About this Church

Calvary is a very stable ministry environment with an average weekly attendance over 300. Calvary is unapologetically Christ-centered, Bible-based and grace-focused.

The church has responded well to progressive but balanced innovation and has a positive atmosphere. Calvary is thankful for God’s good work in and through the congregation. The church anticipates ongoing growth and positive, impactful ministry. Calvary desires to help people connect with the personal hope of Jesus and see everyone become multiplying disciples of Christ.

The church has a strong base of committed faithful servants. There is immense ministry potential through higher engagement of the uninvolved regular attendees.

Calvary has a wider regional influence and impact than would be typically expected given its rural setting. Congregants gather from ten different zip codes, and three counties. Six different school districts are represented in addition to a good number of home school families.

Calvary Church has been a faithful beacon of God’s presence and truth in Walker since its founding and enjoys a good reputation in the Walker region. It is the largest and most active evangelical church in the immediate area.
