Birth - Pre-K Lead

OBJECTIVE

The Birth-Pre-K Lead will provide leadership to the weekly programs for kids ages birth to Pre-K in order to ensure engaging, safe and Christ-centered experiences for young kids and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a champion of NHC’s vision, leadership and ministries
• Work collaboratively with other NHC ministry leaders to cultivate partnership and effectiveness
• Participate and invest in NHC staff community
• Embrace any additional opportunities as assigned to contribute to NHC’s ministry impact
• Model a Christ-like attitude through committed work ethic, care for kids and support to families
• Organize and lead Sunday kids programming for kids ages birth to Pre-K and Wednesday night childcare
• Select resources and materials for birth to Pre-K programs that align with kids ministries objectives and the vision of NHC
• Work with staff team to monitor the physical spaces used for programs in order to ensure safe, attractive and developmentally appropriate furniture and activities for kids and well-equipped areas for volunteers
• Assist in recruiting, training and maintaining a base of volunteers to teach, supervise and assist in caring for kids
• Champion and support any NHC programming for kids ages birth to Pre-K
• Provide support and assistance for other kids programs as needed
• Help create an environment that is welcoming to families with diverse cultural and language backgrounds
• Assist in providing resources and support to families through intentional relationships and training opportunities
• Assist in planning and leading special events and additional kids programming
• Assist in creating kids ministries budget to maximize ministry impact
• Give joint oversight to kids ministries policies and protocols
• Collaborate with other ministry leaders to develop integrated discipleship strategy for kids and students
