Part-Time Worship Leader
Job Description
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours a week
Responsibilities
- Lead worship 3-4 times a month with the team
- Lead worship team practice prior to Sunday morning
- Lead music portion of Sunday service
- Can lead from an instrument (guitar or keys)
- Recruits and develops worship team members
- Oversees scheduling for music and tech teams in Planning Center
- Coordinates with pastor and elders to plan services in advance
- Has a grasp of biblical worship, including song selection
- Understands and implements necessary technology updates for worship
- Reports to the pastor
About this Church
Hutchinson Evangelical Free is a growing church (~100 weekly attendance) located in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Hutchinson is a community of 14,000 people located 50 miles west of the Twin Cities. As a “hub city” in Minnesota, Hutchinson is a rural town with suburban amenities, including numerous parks, restaurants and shops located within the city limits. We also draw a number of our members and regular attenders from the surrounding communities in the area.
The mission of Hutch E-Free is to Love God, Love People and Help People Love God. Each week, we aim to remind ourselves of what Jesus has done, and how He is at work in our lives today. Our congregation has a wide mix from young families to senior adults, and therefore we aim to worship in ways that will impact the lives of all our members, including a blended worship style that includes both traditional and more contemporary songs as much as possible.
