Associate Pastor

The Associate Pastor is expected to live and promote the church’s cultural values of team, empowerment and resourcing. While enjoying significant freedom to make creative use of his gifts and abilities, he will be expected to contribute to the church’s effectiveness in terms of life change and kingdom impact. The following are examples of his expected roles and responsibilities.

• Share preaching responsibilities with the senior pastor in both English and Spanish language services (Translators are available for non-Spanish speakers).
• Share in training leaders with an emphasis on ministry leaders of youth, young families and young adults.
• Share visitation responsibilities with the senior pastor and elders.
• Share in counseling, weddings and memorial services with senior pastor.
• Partner with senior pastor in the development of community and international outreach ministry opportunities.
• Provide leadership and raise up leaders for the small group ministries of the church.
• Teach in various small group contexts such as Adult Bible Fellowship and with AWANA parents.
• Resource and encourage the worship leaders and teams.
