Join our team as Oberlin Campus Pastor

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to pastor our Oberlin Campus and engage in meaningful ministry work. This role is perfect for someone with a church planting mentality who thrives in leadership, disciplemaking and community engagement.

Location: Oberlin (with ministry responsibilities in McCook)

What You'll Do:

Leadership:

  • Develop your leadership skills under the guidance of our senior pastor.
  • Participate in staff and board meetings.
  • Lead and coach the core team.
  • Oversee the Oberlin campus operations.

Disciple Making:

  • Implement our disciplemaking strategy.
  • Lead disciplemaking groups and coach leaders.
  • Engage in one-on-one discipleship.

Connections:

  • Manage our connections strategy for high retention.
  • Oversee the first Impressions and usher teams.

Pastoral Care:

  • Administer our pastoral care strategy.
  • Coordinate with elders and leaders to meet pastoral care needs.
  • Provide spiritual and physical support to those in need.

Preaching:

  • Develop sermon series and messages with the senior pastor.
  • Preach approximately 50% of Sundays.

Community Engagement:

  • Actively evangelize and provide pastoral care in the community.
  • Participate in local events, clubs and schools.

Must-Haves:

Spiritual Health: Be a born-again disciple of Jesus, meeting elder qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7).
Family Dynamics: Evidence of a healthy marriage (if married) and family life.
Financial Stability: Properly manage personal finances.
Physical Health: Maintain a level of health that supports ministry work.
Doctrinal Alignment: Agree with our doctrinal statement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal Bible education or seminary degree.
  • Previous pastoral experience.

Accountability:

  • Report directly to the senior pastor.
  • Annual review by the senior pastor and two elders.
